ألغيت رحلة مانشستر يونايتد إلى مدريد لمواجهة أتلتيكو في دوري أبطال أوروبا في اللحظة الأخيرة.

ومن المقرر أن يلتقي الفريقان مساء الأربعاء في ذهاب دور الـ16 من دوري أبطال أوروبا، على ملعب واندا ميتروبوليتانو.

عادة ما يسافر الشياطين الحمر مع شركة الطيران الروسية إيروفلوت إلى مبارياتهم الأوروبية بموجب اتفاقية تجارية.

وأوضحت أن قرار إلغاء الرحلة كان متبادلًا بين مانشستر يونايتد وإيروفلوت.

تصف شركة الطيران الروسية نفسها بأنها “الناقل الرسمي لمانشستر يونايتد” وكانت راعيً لها منذ فترة طويلة.

Former Everton striker Marcus Bent has exclusively told Football FanCast that Declan Rice could leave West Ham this summer, should the Hammers get an offer they can’t refuse.

Rice has been one of the standout midfielders in the Premier League, with his impressive form catching the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs.

The 22-year-old is currently out injured following a knee problem sustained whilst away with England, with the Hammers’ victory at Wolves ending his two-year run of consecutive minutes played in the league.

Strong recent reports believe that Manchester United are leading the race to sign the Hammers midfielder, and are going to use on-loan West Ham attacker Jesse Lingard to improve their attempts of bringing Rice to Old Trafford.

David Moyes recently said that it would take the ‘Bank of England’ to lure Rice away from the London Stadium this summer, but Bent told Football FanCast that if West Ham were to receive a huge offer for the England man, it could help them improve their squad significantly.

He said: “Chelsea and Manchester United, they’re big sides. It depends on the price, if they get a big fee for him, it could be a lot of money for West Ham to go out and buy two or three players.

“He’s definitely one they won’t want to lose, but it depends on the price.”

Aston Villa are preparing a £15m bid for Burnley winger Dwight McNeil, according to Football Insider.

The Lowdown: McNeil’s previous interest

Villa aren’t the first club to be linked with a move for the 21-year-old. McNeil has attracted interest from the likes of AC Milan, Juventus, Leicester City and Wolves in recent years, but he’s remained at Turf Moor.

The Englishman has been labelled as one of Villa’s top targets this summer, with McNeil still having over three years remaining on his Clarets contract.

McNeil is valued at £19.8m by Transfermarkt, and it seems as if Villa will attempt to seal a cut-price move going off latest reports.

A Villa source informed Football Insider that the club plan to test the water with a £15m offer early in the upcoming transfer window.

The report claims that Burnley are likely to hold out for a higher offer, which doesn’t exactly come as a surprise going off his Transfermarkt valuation and length of contract.

McNeil, described as ‘adaptable’ by Sean Dyche last year, was the 15th-most creative player in the entire league last season after creating 55 big chances.

The Verdict: In line with John Percy’s recent claim

Reliable reporter John Percy revealed in April that Villa will look to sign a winger this summer, and it seems as if McNeil could well be their man.

He’s mainly plied his trade out on the left-hand side during his career, so his potential arrival could allow Jack Grealish to move to a central role, should he remain at Villa Park.

Dean Smith should know all about McNeil following his starring display against Villa earlier this season, with the wide man scoring and providing an assist in a 3-2 win back in December.

Who knows, that performance may have caught Smith’s eye, and it seems as if the club are ready to firm up their interest.

In an exclusive interview with Football FanCast, David Norris, who spent two and a half years at Leeds United, has claimed that his former club took a chance when they signed Raphinha on deadline day.

Raphinha has taken to the Premier League effortlessly and his record of six goals and six assists in just 27 Premier League games is evidence of the impact he has made this campaign.

The 24-year old admitted that after playing and scoring for Rennes on deadline day last October, he had just 20 minutes to make a decision to join Leeds or play Champions League football with the French side.

Speaking on how Leeds took a chance on Raphinha and how he has paid the club back this season, Norris exclusively told FFC:

“He’s really skilful and a joy to watch but Leeds took a chance on him and he’s produced. From the players I’ve spoken to, he’s supposed to be a really good lad in the changing room which would’ve helped him settle.

“I am a little bit surprised at just how well he has done, but with the way Leeds are and from what the lads say about him it makes sense that he’s done really well.”

Bielsa’s attacking trio of Raphinha, Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison have a combined total of 27 goals and 19 assists, which is impressive for a newly promoted team.

After such an impressive debut season, there have been reports linking Raphinha with a move to Liverpool, despite signing for Leeds less than 12 months ago.

– Ontem (terça-feira), quando acordei, vi a notícia no celular e acordei a minha esposa. Ano passado, quando ele estava no Flamengo eu eu já no Botafogo, ano passado, ele ia na minha casa. No último jogo (já pela Chape), trocamos camisa, conversamos e, até o último momento, meu filho e esposa estavam esperando-o para receberem uma palavra de carinho. Eu falei: “Vão demorar.” Mas seria uma oportunidade. Isso marca – lembrou, antes de concluir:

– Ontem (terça), minha esposa usou durante o dia inteiro a camiseta do meu companheiro. Em casa, ela falou: “É difícil.” Eu fico imaginando o que falar, o que fazer com um filho de três anos. Penso pelos filhos, pelas famílias que perderam os pais. Da imprensa também. É triste, um momento difícil.
