A equipe vem evoluindo, sim – considerou.

Rangers fans love Nikola Katic photo

Many Glasgow Rangers fans were delighted at seeing a photo of Nikola Katic as the Gers returned to training ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

The Ibrox outfit enjoyed a magnificent campaign last term as they won the Premiership for the first time in 10 years without losing a single game in the division. However, they had to do so without the services of central defender Katic, who missed the entire campaign through injury after picking up a serious issue during pre-season training last year (Transfermarkt).

The 55-time Scottish champions are now back in pre-season training ahead of a season in which they will attempt to defend their league title. Fortunately for them, it looks as though £1.44m-valued Croatia international Katic (Transfermarkt) is ready and raring to go if an image shared on the club’s official Twitter account is anything to go by.

These Gers fans were delighted with the photo and they took to the social media platform to share their thoughts on the matter.

Let’s see what these fans had to say about the photo of Katic

Derby County EFL development emerges

Derby County have been handed a huge boost to their chances of playing Championship football at Pride Park next season.

What’s the latest?

That’s according to a claim made by BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone, who revealed in a post on Twitter that the written reasons for the £100k fine handed to Derby by an independent disciplinary commission are yet to be published, meaning that neither the English Football League nor the Rams can appeal the verdict at present.

Once the reasons are published, each party will have 14 days to appeal the decision, a process that, once begun, could drag on for a considerable amount of time.

Rooney will be relieved

With the threat of relegation to League One as a result of a points deduction appearing very real following the EFL’s publishing of interchangeable Championship and League One 2021/22 fixture lists that featured Derby and Wycombe Wanderers playing in both the second and third tier of English football, Stone’s latest update is sure to have left Rooney relieved.

Indeed, with the start of next season edging closer day by day, the likelihood of the independent disciplinary commission reaching a verdict from either a Derby or EFL appeal before August 7th seems faint, at best.

As such, it would appear as if Rooney can now tentatively begin planning his side’s campaign in the Championship next season, as well as offering incoming signings the relative assurance that they will be playing their football in the second tier rather than the third – something that will provide the 35-year-old with a boost regarding the calibre of players he can attempt bring into the club.

Having said this, Derby’s fate is by no means 100% certain just yet, but Stone’s latest update would appear to be a small bit of positive news for everyone involved with the club.

Board and politicians to discuss West Indies cricket

The Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community, Dr

Derrick Nicholas22-Apr-2002The Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community, Dr. Edwin Carrington, has invited the West Indies Cricket Board to participate in the Civil Society "Forward Together Encounter" to be held in Georgetown, Guyana on July 2 and 3 this year. The Conference, which will see the participation of the Heads of Government of CARICOM, will take place just prior to their annual conference scheduled for Guyana from July 3 to 5.Dr. Carrington extended the invitation to the WICB during an exchange of views between representatives of both parties during the third day of the second 2002 Cable & Wireless Test between West Indies and India at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad, on Sunday.Antigua & Barbuda Prime Minister Lester Bird, who is also the chairman of the CARICOM Prime Ministerial Sub-Committee on Cricket, proposed the meeting in order to get an overview of the present state of West Indies cricket and to be able to work with the WICB in managing the premier sporting event in the Caribbean.According to Dr. Carrington, the WICB’s participation in the Encounter would create an opportunity for every CARICOM Head of Government to get a comprehensive overview of plans for the World Cup of cricket to be staged in the West Indies in 2007.He added that the WICB’s presentation would also allow participants an insight into the present state of West Indies cricket and the strategic role they will have to play in expanding programmes, including cricket in the curriculum in schools, coaching, fitness and conditioning, and human resource development of West Indies cricketers.During the exchange, the WICB and the CARICOM Secretariat agreed to pool resources to promote the future development of all aspects of West Indies cricket, starting with intensive preparations next month for the 2007 Cricket World Cup.More than 150,000 visitors are likely to visit the Caribbean during the 2007 World Cup, an event that Chris Dehring, the chief executive of Windies World Cup Limited, noted would significantly benefit every CARICOM member state.Representatives of both bodies also pledged their commitment to sensitise West Indies cricket fans and the Caribbean public about the scope of the event.Guy Yearwood, Antigua & Barbuda’s Sports and Information Minister, chaired Sunday’s meeting in the absence of Prime Minister Bird. The CARICOM delegation also included Colin Murdoch, Antigua & Barbuda’s Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Edward Greene, Assistant Secretary-General for Human and Social Development.President Rev. Wes Hall, Chief Executive Officer Gregory Shillingford and Dehring were the three officials attending Sunday’s meeting in the boardroom of the Queen’s Park Cricket Club.In addressing the meeting, Rev. He also outlined the WICB’s plans for West Indies cricket in the short, medium and long term.Dehring presented a detailed background on the WICB’s approach, preparations and development plans for the 2007 World Cup. He solicited the cooperation of CARICOM in mounting an extensive marketing and promotional programme involving West Indies fans and supporters.Details of this programme will be worked out between a WICB team and the CARICOM Secretariat in Georgetown.Dehring said he also looked forward to Caribbean people actively participating in the entrepreneurial opportunities offered by the World Cup.

SAFC urged to sign Vokes

Kevin Phillips has urged Sunderland to sign Sam Vokes on loan this summer after they were linked with a move for the striker.

The Lowdown: Black Cats need Wyke replacement

Charlie Wyke scored 30 goals in all competitions for Sunderland last term (Transfermarkt), but he is officially now a free agent and appears to be on the verge of a move to Celtic (Football Insider).

As such, the Black Cats are in need of a new striker, and according to The Daily Mirror journalist Darren Witcoop, Sunderland are interested in signing Vokes on loan.

The Latest: Phillips urges signature

Speaking to Football Insider, Phillips believes Vokes would do a good job in League One. He said:

“It didn’t go to plan for him at Stoke.

“He came in not long after I left. Vokes is that type of player, you know what you’re going to get.

“He is in that Charlie Wyke ilk. He’s big and powerful in the box and gets on the end of crosses.

“That’s not a bad one to be fair. You would like to think he can perform in League One.

“He could suit Sunderland’s style of play, that could turn out to be a decent signing.”

The Verdict: Could do a job

There is no doubt that Lee Johnson will be disappointed to lose Wyke. While some Sunderland supporters may not be too unhappy to see the back of him due to his overall play, it is hard to replace 30 goals no matter what level you are playing at.

Vokes, currently at Stoke City, has not had the best of times with the Potters, scoring just 11 times in 86 matches. However, throughout his career at club level, he has 110 goals to his name, and has scored goals both in the Premier League and the Championship. On top of that, he has 64 caps for Wales and also scored for his country at Euro 2016. He may now be 31, but he could still do a very good job at the Stadium of Light.

In other news, Sunderland fans are happy to see the back of this man.

Little hope for India

India are down and almost out and even their most ardent supporters have acknowledged that the fat lady is rehearsing her song

Mike King05-May-2002India are down and almost out and even their most ardent supporters have acknowledged that the fat lady is rehearsing her song.Faced with a first innings deficit of 292, India were staring defeat in the face at stumps at 169 for four, with their two leading batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid back in the pavilion and two days still left in this crucial third Test at Kensington Oval.Software engineer, Suvankar, an Indian supporter in the Garfield Sobers Stand, admits it’s only a matter of time before the West Indies wrap up the match and square the series 1-1.It’s a four-day match.
