According to talkSPORT transfer expert Alex Crook, the north London outfit are pushing for more additions on deadline day and they are confident in making at least one signing, which is likely to be the Barcelona right-back.

“#THFC confident of making at least one signing today (Emerson Royal) but I’m told they are pushing for more,” he tweeted.

It’s thought that the Brazilian is undergoing a medical ahead of a €30m (£25.7m) move to the Lilywhites, whilst there remains an interest in Wolves attacker Adama Traore, per Sky Sports.

Time running out

This latest development should leave many supporters around the Tottenham Hotspur absolutely buzzing as it means Fabio Paratici and co are eyeing up further moves to complete their impressive summer of arrivals.

In Cristian Romero, they have a centre-back fix, though Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez have started the campaign in impressive form, whilst the signing of Bryan Gil is certainly one for the future and one that could see some much-needed creativity added to attacking midfield.

Pape Sarr has been another addition but we’ll have to wait at least a year to see him in action.

The Italian supremo has been working hard for further arrivals and he seems to be on the verge of sealing Nuno Santo a new right-back, another problematic area in recent times.

Serge Aurier has slipped down the pecking order in N17, whilst Matt Doherty hasn’t been favoured either, with youth product Japhet Tanganga starting all three of their Premier League matches thus far.

A striker may be the next priority as the Portuguese head coach would reportedly like to deploy a two-man attack and Harry Kane is his only senior option right now.

There are less than 12 hours to go in the window but as Crook has revealed, we should expect some sort of activity from Spurs and that will surely leave much of the Lilywhites faithful thrilled.

They head into the international break top of the Premier League and it’s clear that they aren’t resting on their laurels as Paratici and Nuno look to bolster the playing squad even more.

أكد النجم المصري محمد صلاح أنه يتطلع إلى الفوز بالمزيد من الألقاب مع فريق ليفربول، بعد تجديد عقده لمدة ثلاث سنوات أخرى.

وكان ليفربول قد أعلن اليوم انتهاء سلسلة طويلة من المفاوضات مع محمد صلاح، والتي تكللت بالنجاح في النهاية، ووقع المصري عقدًا حتى عام 2025.

وعندما سُئل عما إذا كان ليفربول جاهز للمنافسة والتحدي على أعلى مستوى مرة أخرى في الموسم الجديد، رد محمد صلاح في حواره مع الموقع الرسمي: “نعم”.

وأردف: “لقد غادر ماني كذلك وسأفتقده، لقد قضى مواسم رائعة مع النادي، لذلك أتمنى له كل التوفيق، أتمنى لداروين كل التوفيق أيضًا لتسجيل العديد من الأهداف لنا”.

Botafoguense, Crivella se isentou de responsabilidade pelo fato do clássico do próximo domingo não poder ser realizado no estádio.

-O problema é que o jogo de domingo é contra o meu time. As pessoas vão colocar a culpa em mim de o Fla não jogar aqui. Mas a culpa foi da CBF – disse o alcaide, arrancando algumas risadas de convidados.

Na verdade, o Flamengo entregou os laudos necessários para a liberação do estádio fora do prazo. Por isso, a CBF determinou que o jogo fosse no Raulino de Oliveira, em Volta Redonda.

O presidente do Flamengo agradeceu ao prefeito do Rio e confirmou a estreia do Rubro-Negro no estádio, no próximo dia 14, contra a Ponte Preta, pela sétima rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro.

-Estamos entregando um novo equipamento esportivo para a cidade. É claro que não é solução definitiva do estádio do Flamengo, pretendemos ter o estádio (na Gávea), o que já foi aprovado pelo prefeito, mas a torcida do Fla e os cariocas vão gostar.Está tudo certo para dia 14. Agora é vencer a Ponte no dia 14 para estrear com vitória – afirmou o mandatário.

BANDEIRA EXPLICA ATRASO DE TRÊS MESES NAS OBRAS

Bandeira explicou que o atraso nas obras da Arena do Flamengo foi motivada por causa da cratera encontrada em março, entre os setores Norte e Leste.

– Tínhamos intenção de inaugurar antes, mas tivemos um problema de águas pluviais que passam embaixo da arquibancada que não tínhamos conhecimento e isso nos forçou a fazer um desvio, o que causou um atraso de três meses.Mas temos a consciência tranquila de que hoje não existe nenhum risco para a torcida. O canal foi desviado, foi tudo concretado. Isso causou um atraso significativo. Mas hoje estamos testemunhando que o Flamengo poderia jogar hoje aqui ainda – comentou o presidente rubro-negro.

Os dirigentes do Flamengo e os representantes da Prefeitura fizeram um tour pelo estádio acompanhado pela imprensa. A estrutura foi alugada pelo Rubro-Negro por três anos, com opção de prorrogação por mais um triênio. Estima-se que o Flamengo tenha investido, em parceria com algumas empresas, quase R$ 15 milhões no estádio. A intenção do clube, no entanto, é construir uma “casa própria”, uma arena acústica na Gávea, com capacidade para cerca de 20 mil pessoas.

A Arena do Flamengo, na Ilha, tem capacidade para 20.215 pessoas e já recebeu alguns torcedores na manhã desta sexta. Aos poucos, os rubro-negros irão se ambientar com o novo espaço.

An update has emerged on Leicester target Dan James, regarding Leeds’ interest in his services.

What’s the talk?

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Leeds are closing in on the signing of Leicester target James from Manchester United on a permanent deal. The Lillywhites are now discussing personal terms with the forward ahead of an official announcement.

talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook had claimed Leicester were a possible destination for the United winger, adding that the Welsh international was set to leave Old Trafford on loan following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, with Leeds, Brighton and Southampton all interested in landing him.

However, the former now look set to snap him up on a permanent deal, ending the chances of the Foxes bringing him to the King Power.

Fans will be gutted

Leicester fans will be gutted with this update as it surely rules them out of the race to land James.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side could potentially be challenging the Foxes for a top ten finish in the Premier League, which is one reason why fans could be frustrated by this update from Romano.

Interestingly, he started for Manchester United in their 1-0 win against Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday and has been a useful squad player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to call upon since arriving at Old Trafford from Swansea. Last season, he produced five goals and two assists in 16 starts across the Premier League, Champions League and Europa League for the Red Devils.

The £16.2m-rated winger was labelled as “explosive and so fast” by his former teammate Andreas Pereira in an interview with Manchester United’s official website last season.

This shows that he has the potential to go on and be a decent player at this level, as he has produced end product – albeit not at the levels deemed to be good enough to compete for a title – whilst also being praised for his exceptional pace by his teammates.

He has the speed to take the ball past players and seven goal contributions in 16 starts suggests that he also has the raw materials required to be an effective attacking outlet on the flank. He could have been a player Brendan Rodgers was able to coach into fulfilling his potential, alongside the likes of Harvey Barnes, James Maddison, Wilfred Ndidi and Youri Tielemans.

Instead, Foxes fans may now have to watch him flourish under Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road. If he goes there and hits form in the top-flight then it could leave supporters feeling particularly frustrated that the club missed out on thi deal.

Tottenham Hotspur head into the international break sitting top of the Premier League after three games.

That, of course, means very little at this stage but so far the Nuno Santo era has got off to a very encouraging start.

But he can make an impact now.

The £27m-rated dynamo started both UEFA Europa Conference qualifying clashes against Pacos de Ferreira, where he provided an assist in the second leg to help steer Spurs into the group stages.

Gil is yet to feature for more than two minutes in the Premier League but that should change after the international break.

Versatility, creativity and energy.

Those are the three key things the Spain U21 international can provide Nuno with in attacking midfield.

“The Spaniard has a lovely style about the way he plays the game, with real confidence in what he does,” claimed football.london’s Alasdair Gold following his debut last month.

Meanwhile, Gil’s style has been likened to one of the Portuguese’s former players, Pedro Neto.

According to Twenty3, the 5 foot 9 dynamo and the Wolves sensation are “almost identical in terms of output last season” – Both are said to be high volume dribblers that are more creative than goalscoring.

Indeed, Gil averaged 1.7 crosses and 1.9 key passes per 90 in La Liga last season, via WhoScored. Only Kane and Heung-min Son were more creative in Spurs’ squad.

Similarly, the Sevilla youth product has been likened to Jack Grealish by ESPNUK editor David Cartlidge. “Bryan Gil a potential star in the making,” he claimed prior to the move. “Spurs landing a very, very exciting talent if reports hold true. Still raw and with lots to polish but he’s easily top 5 most exciting young talents in Spain.”

“[He’s a] LW with potential to be a AMC in the future, unbelievable amounts of technique, agility and good in 1v1s. A left foot on him you’d kill for as a footballer. Player comp for those who are unaware of him probably Grealish.”

This sort of unpredictability and quality to play anywhere along the front three is exactly what Spurs need to keep their fine form up this season.

Also lauded as a “big talent” by football scout Jacek Kulig, it’s time for Nuno to unleash Gil in the big time.

The toss, scheduled at 8:30 am local, had been put back 45 minutes because of the thick haze and overcast conditions in smoggy Kanpur, but only one over was docked from each innings, and to top it off, the lunch interval was not shortened.The win could not have been possible without India’s spinners, who had made the most of the pitch with 22 tidy overs that derailed England after a strong start.
